Turmeric leaves (Curcuma longa L.) contain secondary metabolites, one of which is a phenolic compound. The choice solvent important in the extraction process, ethanol chosen because it can attract compounds that are soluble non-polar to polar solvents. concentrations this study were 60, 70, 80, and 96% with method used was maceration. screening test obtained positive results for content. This indicated by appearance fluorescent blue-black stain on plate after being sprayed FeCl3 reagent. TLC comparison Rf value (gallic acid) 0.53. values 90 0.53; 0.55; 0.57; 0.60; 0.60. determine total content folin-ciaocalteu.
